At Institute the new program - iconography school in which all interested persons can join sacrament of a writing of an icon opens, and also receive knowledge in area of history of an iconography, bases the technician and technologies of painting of icons.

Studying iconography
traditions - the primary goal of the created school of an iconography.
Much to our regret, visible touch of masters of the past with modern
generations has been lost.
In the XX-th century works of restorers, enthusiasts of the business
open those great monuments of the past on which we, modern people with
awe look, trying to penetrate into an essence of images, to understand
all aspirations, movements of soul with which there lived artists of
those times.
The course of lectures and a practical training at school of an
iconography which is created at institute of Cultural enlightenment
together with
Ikonopisnoj of a workshop of "Arhangeliko", gives the
chance studying of ancient monuments.
As the moment of understanding, complete penetration into the fresco and
icon world is fine. Return of all spiritual, sincere qualities and art
talents thus is required on that in our modern century to understand and
study ancient Christian painting.
Plunging into this world, the modern artist studies set of styles,
features of an iconography of those or other countries, receives
necessary knowledge and studies historical conditions which define time
of a writing of an image.
This knowledge will help you to create new icons and frescos – the world
extraordinary mysterious, live and not releasing from themselves.
So, having tried to touch at least time the ancient art, many remain in
it for ever and becomes Icon painters. |

In process of comprehension of each of steps, the future icon painters:
• learn
bases of an iconography and a temple monumental list;
• study bases of Christian art, and also canons honoring of icons;
• the program of a list of an orthodox temple;
• to the technician of an iconography and a monumental list;
• get skills of independent work with use of the recommended
literature;
• and as a result, create the hands of an icon and a fresco. |
